Position:Home>Genealogy> How do you spell the first name "kwon" (or "quan")?Question:I don't know what nationality this name is, but I'd like to be somewhat respectful when writing a thank you card. Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I don't know what nationality this name is, but I'd like to be somewhat respectful when writing a thank you card. If the person is Korean, the most common spelling is in fact Kwon (either as a first name or surname). However, it is only a common spelling. Since you are writing in a different alphabet trying to fit into a foreign language, there could be many different legitimate spellings. But if the person is Korean and you don't have any other information to go on, then I would suggest using "Kwon". If they are not Korean, I don't know the common spellings for other asiatic regions. Its Quan. (sounds like whon) Depends on where the name originated. |
