Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: ON MOMS SIDE---My grandma's grandpa was 100% african. And his wife was 100% Native Mexican.

ON DADS SIDE---My grandpa's and grandma's parents were both from Spain but they both immigrated to Mexico and had my grandparents therefore creating my dad.

HOW MUCH AFRICAN AM I?

So in other words the only african in you was your Great Great grandfather on your moms side

So lets work the logic:

Your grandma's grandpa would make children that were 50% african

Your grandma's parents would then make kids that are 25% african

your grandma would make kids that are 12.5% african

Your mom would then make kids that are 6.25% african

so thus you are 6.25% african or 1/16th african. Assuming you have no other relatives with african ancestory.

i say 25%

1/4 your mom is 1/2 African

12.5% you are hardly any african, mostly Mexican.

I believe it's 1/8 African and 1/8 Native Mexican

And from the information you gave us, it seems as if the rest of you is Spaniard with some Mexican traditions mixed in (since they migrated to Mexico)

check out the new National Geographic Genomic Project. For about $100 they will look at your DNA and tell you exactly.

It is impossible to know without knowing all of your relatives on both sides. However, even then it could be hard to tell. As far back as ancient Rome, African gladiators would gain their freedom, become citizens of Rome and from then on call themselves Romans. So are they African or Roman? And what then would their descendents be. In the vast scheme of things, it matters more who you ARE than where you came from.

Id say you were 1/4 african, 1/4 Mexican and 1/2 spanish.

6.25%

Your grandma's grandpa was 100%
Your grandma's mom or dad was 50%
Your grandma is/was 25%
Your mom is 12.5%
And you are 6.25%

EDIT: Note the Rilaf made the mistake of going from your grandma's grandpa to your grandma...Your grandma's mom or dad are in between your grandma and her grandpa. Mblast explained it well.

Hopefully, ALL of your blood is in you...

Your mother's mother was 50%. Assuming your grandmother married black then, your mom is 75%.
Your dad has no African and so is 100% non African.
Therefore you would be 37.5% or 3/8 African blood.
If your grandmother married non-African then your mom is 25% African and you would be 12.5% African or 1/8.
Hope this helps.

I read once that human life originated in Africa, so who knows how much African is REALLY in you :/

id say like 1/16

You have 4 grandparents, 1 was 50% "African"
100 x 50% = 50, divided 4 equals 12.5%

It is possible your Spainish relations had some "African" in them too so it could be more.

If your grandma's grandpa (your great, great grandpa) was 100% then
your grandma's father (your great grandpa) was 50%
your grandma was 25%
your mom was 12.5%
you are 6.25%

Maternal Great Grandfather - African
Maternal Great Grandmother - Native Mexican

Maternal Grandmother - ?
Maternal Grandfather - ?

Paternal Great Grandfather - Spanish
Paternal Great Grandmother - Spanish

You still have a lot missing, and its not that easy to figure out how much African you are.

I dont know how you would expect people over the internet who dont know u, would know? ur part black and ur part mexican, leave it as that. Or maybe ur mom or dad should no?

You might need to look further back in your tree... but by looking at this between %15 and %25. Hope this helps. :)

Prob not much but a pic could help, Couse even if you 5th generation could look like your grandma's grandpa .

Less than 1/4....mostly Mexican....but you can have a blood test to see....see a doctor.

i say around 15% beacuse you grandmas grandpa isb 100 percent half of that every generation till it comes to you

All it takes is one drop of oil to pollute the purity of water. Does it mater? Worry about where your going in life not where your loser family has been. I'm here to help:)
