Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: what country dalailama belong to ? is he an indian or chinese or tibetian .?
why is he not living in tibet ? what is wrong in their ? then who is right?

He is Tibetan and not Chinese or Indian. In 1950 he was sworn in as the temporary leader of Tibet at the age of 15, by 1954 the People's Republic of China had invaded Tibet and he fled in fears that he would be murdered or otherwise killed by the Chinese government whilst in talks in Beijing. He is the leader of the Tibetan Government in exile.

He's Tibetian by ethnicity. But Tibet is part of China, so Chinese is his actual nationality.

People, like it or not, he is recognized as a Chinese citizen. The world does not recognize the Tibetian government in exile and the Tibetian government in exile does not issue passports. He is still technically a Chinese citizen, whether he likes it or not. He never filed a petition for naturalization in any other country. His official status is Chinese citizen in exile.

Dalai Lama is a Tibetetian he is not living in Tibet because China Occupied it and as you know china is an communist country and follows confucianism so Dailai Lama being a Buddhist guru was forced to leave Tibet and Jawahar Lal Nehru the then prime minister of India welcomed him to stay in India he lives some where in Himachal Pradesh!
still Tibet gets its freedom he will live in India

In Tibetan Buddhism, the successive Dalai Lamas form a lineage of allegedly reborn (tulku) magistrates which traces back to 1391. They are of the Gelug School of Buddhism. Tibetan Buddhists believe the Dalai Lama to be one of innumerable incarnations of Avalokite?vara ("Chenrezig" [spyan ras gzigs] in Tibetan), the bodhisattva of compassion.[1]

Between the 17th century and 1959, the Dalai Lama was the head of the Tibetan government, administering a large portion of the country from the capital Lhasa. He is often referred to simply as "His Holiness" (HH), or "His Holiness The Dalai Lama". The Dalai Lama is often thought to be the head of the Gelug School, but this position officially belongs to the Ganden Tripa (Wylie: Dga'-ldan Khri-pa). Tibetans usually call the Dalai Lama Gyalwa Rinpoche (Tibetan: ????????????????; Wylie: Rgyal-ba Rin-po-che) meaning "Precious Victor," or Yeshe Norbu (Tibetan: ????????????????; Wylie: Yid-bzhin Nor-bu) meaning "Wish-fulfilling Jewel".
