Question:My mom always told me, find out what you love and then find a way to make money doing it. Problem is, I can;t find money in this field. I volunter at the local historical society, but i haven;t been able to find a job in this line of work.

Any suggestions?

I am in the UK and I am studying to be a "Probate Genealogist", I hope to make a living out of it when I pass my exams.

If you get certified by the National Genealogical Society AND live close to a major archive of some sort - the FHL in Salt Lake, or one of the National Archives - you can sometimes get comissions from people to work "x" hours at "y" per hour. It isn't as sure a thing as becoming a CPA.
