is a fairly good place to check this on a quick basis. Entries in the IGI can be from submitters (which need verification), but they also have directly transcribed entries from church registers. From there, I see a good number of entries from Ireland.
BUT-
please don't assume that this means YOUR ancestor is from Ireland. There are variables, such as spelling, which MAY show that your ancestor/ family actually used the spelling of Dorely, for example. What we think of as standard spellings, didn't exist a couple hundred years back.
