Rootsweb(free site) has actually only one entry in family trees for Brozan, a Magdalen Brozan born and died in Bohemia. Now that is no absolute proof of the origin of the name as there were lots of boundary changes in those countries.

New York Passenger list for 1820-1957 has 15. Ethnicities are not listed on all, but 2 were from Romania, one was listed as Irish and one was French.

Philadelphia Passenger List 1800-1945 has 2 whose last residence was Hungary.

Boston Passenger List 1820-1943 has one whose last residence was Ireland.

Baltimore Passenger List 1820-1948 has one whose last residence was Hungary.

If this is your name, the best way to know your heritage is to trace it starting with yourself and working back. Anytime you wish to do this, there are lots of good people on this board that can give you some great tips and advice. Just ask.

I have checked all the sites I know that give the origin of surnames, but I cannot find anything in relation to your name, sorry.
