maybe,
my last name is irish.:))

do you drink a lot.

No thats not Irish

im irish and never heard of it, sorry!

Go to and search engine and put in irish surnames and see what comes up maybe put in your name and the end....

It is a misspelling Camp, komp, komb, konb etc. It happened at Ellis Island.

uh, it's not even a last name.

No idea at all. Your last name could be Yamaguchi..if your gr grandfather went to Dublin, married a native Irish girl and all the children down, lived there... you would be part Irish. And part Japanese too, but that is not the point.
People have nationalities (which is actually where they are a citizen of) and they have ancestors who come from many different places.
In genealogy.. on a scale of 1-10, where a NAME comes from ranks almost a minus 3. You have 4 grandparents (8 gr grandparents, double every generation). ONLY 1 PERSON in each generation carries the paternal surname.
Think it through.
