Position:Home>Genealogy> What geneology DNA test is best to use?

Question:I want to get the geneological DNA testing done. I know there are quite a few companies out there doing this now. Which one is best in your opinion?

Also, do any of the databases "talk" to one another? (Meaning share information). So, for example, if I register with one company, but all of my potential relatives used another company, would this be matched?

Also, does any of the companies let you match up with people whose DNA closely matches yours? I think I saw something about this on ancestry.com's program.

Thank you!

I used FamilyTreeDNA and was quite satisfied with the results. This company gives you the email address of anyone with a similar result--I got someone with a weird last name living in England, and we briefly communicated but could find no link. This company also has big lists of people with the same last names and chat rooms for each.
I don't know that most of the companies share, although one or two might.
