I have absolutely no idea.....sorry

no sry, but i know that my great, great, great, great, great, great, and i think another great? grandfather was a king in europe!

The only way you would actually know is to trace your ancestry starting with yourself and working back one generation at a time. You cannot go by a surname, alone. Not everyone with the same surname are necessarily related or shares ancestors.

Anytime you wish to trace your ancestry, there are lots of good people on this board that can give you some great tips and advice. Just ask.

I don't know, having not heard of this name before - but probably not. Those websites are banking on the fact that people want to believe that they have a connection to royalty, but usually don't.

Or rather, the connection is really distant - for example, a lot of people with 'gateway ancestors' have a descent from Charlemagne but he is back in the 8th century (about 31 generations back if I remember correctly), so - pretty distant!

Do your research: there are so many genealogical books and websites out there. Even if you find a "King Ugalde" doesn't mean that you are related. So, start with your living relatives and work your way back.
You can always check your local library. Ours (a small one) has both www.ancestry.com and www.heritagequest.com free for useage, as well as books, magazines and a trained volunteer who helps people with genealogy.

WHEW. You are ahead of the warning to steer clear of those places. *grin*
www.rootsweb.com is one of my quick survey spots, and there are some 500+ entries for the name. One catches my eye.. in the 1700s in Equador. That is very intriguing. The next step (if that were the possible line) would be to use the advanced search for any Ugalde born in Equador. You can use the filter for many things. It would seem very possible that an Equador line could trace back to Spain, and someone has done some diggin.
Are YOU connected to any of those files? Dunno, unless you work your own lineage back and see if you tie in. NOT all files posted are reliable.
