contact the area registrar office where the records are from and ask for copys of these records.Birth or death certificates can be purchased straight away but unfortunately census records vare not made available for 100 years

I'm not that familiar with bmds on genes because I use ancestry, but most births marriages and deaths between 1915 and 1984 aren't transcribed, so you would have to trawl the images, which contain the indexes for births marriages and deaths for each 1/4 of the year. If you don't know dates then this might be impossible if your mum's name isn't unique.
Is there anyone on genes with your mum in their tree? If there is you might get some luck contacting them.
If you are looking for details after 1984, or if you have a fairly specific date in mind, I have an ancestry subscription and will happily do a lookup for you.

I do not understand how you have found your mums details from the indexes if you do not know her date of birth. Generally the indexes will contain many people of the same name so you need to be sure you have the right one. Are you elderly and have no relatives left who can give you her exact date of birth and area she was born?
If you are sure you have the right person then you can apply for her birth certificate from the General register office (google GRO) or the local registration office of the area she was born in. This will give her mother and fathers name (and mothers maiden name) as well as exact place of birth and fathers occupation. I think it costs about £8 per certificate.
As people were generally born in the house they lived in those days, you can then check the census for the address on the birth certificate to find the ages of her mother and father. (especially useful if your mother was born before 1901 so she will be on it)
Good luck!
