Doy you know any boyds in north carolina? virginia?

Question:have family under the two names in the counties of halifax and northampton, nc surounding areas.

As i go through my search i will post and have information posted.

This is named from my great grandparents who died before their children really got to know them and was sent to other family members to raise.

First off, in your original posting, Ted Pack responded that he found Jarvis' family in 1920 but Jarvis wasn't there....actually he WAS! I looked at the actual census page and the person transcribed as James L. was actually Jarvis L.

But I have found two Boyd families in the Northampton, NC area identifed as Negro/Black....I can't tie any of them to your Boyds but am just providing the information in case you can now or in the future make a tie...
