Zala is a county in Hungary and it has split and been redefined in the last 100 years. The Ung is a river. Remete is no longer in Zala, but rather is now in Veszprem county.

Jovsa is no longer in Hungary at all, but rather is now part of Slovakia. If you're looking at pre-WWI immigration records, realize that the entire region was the Empire of Austria-Hungary and the splintering off of countries has occurred after both world wars and in the last 20 years, since the fall of the Communist bloc.
