Position:Home>Genealogy> Are we related?

Question:We most likely had at least one common ancestor within the past 40,000 years if you have European ancestry. If you have Amerind ancestry we probably have a common ancestor within the past 15,000 years. If you do not have European or Amerind ancestry then we are more distant cousins, but as long as you are human we are realted.

anything is possible

Probaly not

lmao i dunno, maybe maybe not.

????????????????

Uncle Christopher!!!! Can you loan me some money?

Yes. We all are if you go back far enough.

Nice meeting you, cousin!!

well, according to the bottleneck evidence released a couple of years ago, we are all descended from a very small group (around 3,000 i think) so very possible.....

nope

well if you look at it: adam and eve started it all so we are all related some way or another RIGHT

We most certainly are...now, can I borrow 5 bucks. lol. Just kidding...lol

I don't think so, but then again anythings possible.

We could be related through marriage...

Probably; and you would not have to go all the way back to Adam and Eve, either!
Supposedly there are about 6,700,000,000 persons alive on earth today.
Consider:

Don't forget, use your local library. Ours (a small one, yet) has www.ancestry.com and www.heritagequest.com, as well as periodicals, books and guidance from an experienced genealogist.

In mathematics, "the power of 2": You have 2 parents, they each have 2 parents, and so on. 5 generations ago, you would have had 16 g-g-g-grandparents; by 10 generations ago, the number would be 512 "grandparents"; by 35 generations ago, the number is 16,179,869,184 persons (compared to a total of 6,700,000,000 people alive on Planet Earth today). In other words, basically every one on earth can trace their COMMON ancestry back to within the last 34 generations! (Or, since Medieval Times.)

Due to wars, migrations of one sort or another (finding food, escaping tyranny, etc.) ancient peoples, medieval peoples, and modern peoples moved around a lot. Still, mostly people married their "own kind"; that is, Jews sought out Jews, Germans mostly married Germans, blacks married blacks, yellows married yellows, etc. meaning that ANY 2 people of the same race/ethnic group would not have to go very far back (number of generations) to find a common ancestor.
Good luck!

If you count backwards 2 Parents 4Grandparents etc by the time you hit 1024 8 times great grandparents, That's a maximum and not allowing for the family inter marring.

That number will double with every generation we go back, So we could be related at some point in the past.

are you an enders? if so then probably yes

Daddy???

UUUUMMMM-NOT!
