It has recently been discovered that there is an underlying ancient British DNA which is still found in the majority of British people (i.e. not recent immigrants).
In recent years and over many centuries there have been successive influxes of foreign people who have mixed this DNA with their own. It is now very difficult to say that there is a difference of any kind between people in different parts of Britain.
Prior to the mid 20th century, older sources would tend to state that red hair was found more in the NE, large noses in the West Country, small, dark people in Wales etc.
It is very likely these attributes were inherited from the Celts, Vikings and Roman invaders.
It is only in the more remote villages that any kind of preservation of type might now be found, but even this has been eroded as city folk have moved out to populate areas that were traditionally rural.
The same thing has happened to the English language, with dialect words and phrases used in specific locations being used throughout the UK, and local accents becoming lessened, mainly due to the influence of TV and films.

Well Britain is now made of of many different races who have immigrated there in the past, Asian, African etc, so there are many different physical appearances. But if youre referring to the "original", so to say, inhabitants then yes you can see differences such as hair colour (red, brown or blonde). I imagine it is possible to trace these differences back to the many times Britain was invaded (by the Romans, Vikings, French and others)

Being an island in the Atlantic it has had many invasions down through the centuries.

There were Celtic people. Then the Romans came. After that the Germanic Anglo, Saxons and Jutes came. Then the Danes. Then those tall dark French speaking Vikings called Normans came and all have left their influence. The language is mongrelized. That is why you have one word that can mean something entirely different according to how it is used in a sentence and then you can have many words to mean the same thing.

All nations have a variety of people, not just the U. S. However, Britain and Ireland have more than their share of varieties.

I believe the Irish are number one in back hair if the American Irish are any indication.

We are a mixed bag, with various waves of different people who have settled here, and going further back we have been invaded By the Romans from the South and the Vikings from the North ending up with William the Conqueror coming over from France, The Romans brought all sorts of slaves with them and my Family comes from Cornwall and they traded all the way down the Mediterranean Sea form centuries. Hope this helps.
