An aquaintance died on Monday-how to get info?

Question:The person I know of I didn't know well but I have his name & that his funeral was today in California. Is there a way to find info on his death by obituaries or something? I don't know HOW he died. I don't even know if he died in CA or another state...

You can do a search at this website. Most of the obituaries that are posted in the newspaper's nationwide are available here. Good Luck!

do an obituary serach online or search his name on yahoo's search engine

If you know the name of the funeral home, they usually list recent obituaries on their www site.

If you don't know the name of the funeral home but know the general location, then you can yahoo the funeral homes in that area and look at each web site until you find his obit.

Sometimes, the family chooses NOT to place the person's obit online. In that case, you'd have to contact a family member for the obit.
