hope this helps I am very much of the belief that you are working with assumptions, and not facts. Using familysearch.org, there are indications that Altizer is a German name, not Hispanic.
This is probably the number one question coming into the section, which isn't consistent with accurate research. "Where does my name(s) come from?" can run you down the wrong line, or no line whatsoever.
The ONLY way that is accurate is actually researching the person(s) and not the name. That's the whole point of family history.. the use of verifiable records, concerning a person.
