1844 uk marriage records.?

The problem with the older records is that they do not have the spouses name listed.I have the Vol no. and page no. of Edmund Box married in Shoreditch, but how do I find his wife ? All I know is her first name was Charlotte. I dont particularly want to purchase the marriage certificate. So is that the only way I can find out who she was ? Any help appreciated.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Her name was Charlotte Wood. The Marriage was on 11 Feb 1844 at Saint Leonards, Shoreditch, London, England.
All this was found on www.familysearch.org which is run by the Mormons and is free. (Although not all records are there.) It was Charlotte WOOD. I just did a search on ww.freebmd.org.uk
