Question:

What's your heritage?

Like I'm 50% Italian, 45% Irish and 5% German

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: 50% Italian from the Southern end of the boot

25% Sicilian with roots in the Island of Malta

20.5% French from the Charente-Maritime region (to Beauharnois, Quebec)

1.5% Dutch from Bunnik, Utrecht, Netherlands

1.5% German from Burgbernheim, Germany

1.5% Mohawk Native from the St. Regis Reservation

Funny thing is, my mother's father's side carried the German name all along his paternal line and she grew up thinking that because her last name was "Schwerdtfeger" that she was 1/2 German and 1/2 Italian. It turns out that my grandfather had very little German in him, he had merely been the descendant in the line of males. My grandfather was more than 75% French and more Mohawk than German! It pays to do your research and find out what you really are!

Since I am 75% Italian (most consider Sicilian to be Italian), I usually just tell people I am Italian. The other 25% of me is mixed and the non-French is so diluted it barely counts.

My husband is 1/4 Italian, 1/4 Sicilian, 1/4 Austrian/Polish, 1/8 Scottish and 1/8 English. So he's half cracker. The children would be oleo! Source(s):
Years of research. half polish, one fourth mexican, the rest is mostly french with a little bit of iriquois and scottish .... full-blooded persian 3/4 Ashkenazic (Eastern European Jew), 1/4 Brittish. 50% German, 25% Irish, 25% EnglishorFrench...not really sure...my Grandma used to say when I asked her: English and Dutch and don't amount to much... Mexican Exactly half German, half Cherokee Indian. geez...ok...

dad's side: yaki indian, afro mexican, spanish

mom's side: (mexican) spanish, german

I'M A GREAT (BEAUTIFUL) COMBINATION Acadian (French/Native American mix), Scottish, Irish, English, French If you really must know...I'm 75% German and 25% French. Maybe Polish, I really don't know. 100% Salvadorean Half Eastern Band Cherokee, half Irish. 40% mexican
10% indian
8%german
10% irish & scottish
12%spainard
10% talian & french
10%for others that are very little or not known 100% Irish - but as we were conquered many times, go back a few generations and there might well be Norman or Viking or Anglo-Saxon or others hidden in there Let's see: American...my ancestors came to America (other than the ones who were already here) from Wales, the British Isles, and Germany. Of course, those from the British Isles came from Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland, from France, the Netherlands...I have traced ancestors to all over Europe, Egypt, Morrocco, South Africa, Nigeria, Jamaica, Haiti, Japan, China, the Philippines, Polynesia, the Canary Islands, Israel, Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Mexico, Australia, South America... From Japan to the end of the list I have not found a "paper trail", but only DNA. But, up through Iraq, I have a "paper trail", plus a number of other countries.
I must say, it is so exciting: I am proud to be a "mongrel"! Norman 11th century...Irish since then...The Sept MacDAID>>>split from the o'doherty Clan in the 1500's..F**K those bas**rds..MacDAID ABO!!!!!! ....(excuse my french..the dohertys are lovely people really!! i just could not eat a whole one!)
