Was there an immigrant center in Canada in the 1900's?

I'm trying to find out more about my ancestors and my great grandma wrote about how she immigrated from Norway to Canada would I be able to find records by an immigrant center there on the internet?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I am not sure about central immigration records for Canada. You may have more success if you can find alternate records (ie compare her birth date to when she was married, and the dates/ birth places of children) to narrow the window of time for when that immigration may have happened.

Here is one list of sources for the topic that google turns up. Does grandma fit into any of these descriptions? Sometimes, the intro to available items will also give clues to the existance of other records. who would want to immigrate to Canada?
