Looking for this man....?

I am looking for a man by the name of ASA E. Culver III
His father is Asa E. Culver Jr and his Grandfather is ASA E. Culver Sr. This man is my father, I am not looking for support or money. I just want to know where I come from. I don't look like anyone in my family. I have one photo of ASA E CULVER III and it was in 1979 in Florida outside the motel I was conceived in. My grandfather Asa E Culver Jr was last none to like in Marietta GA, and i believe he MIGHT HAVE been in the USMC. Any info would be great. I do NOT want money from this man, I just want to know who the other half of my family is.

To appease others. I don't have a SSN for him. If I did do you REALLY think I would be on yahoo?? I've never met him, and he dosnt even know I exist. My mother told him she had an abortion. And yes I was adopted. But I was adopted by my mothers grandparents. So all i know is half of my family. And what is there to fear from me? Ive made it CLEAR i dont want anything but answers. ive tried everything, genealogy sites, prison searches, news papers, white pages. Im tapped out. And out of Ideas.

It's a tricky fine line over here, since we generally avoid posting info about living persons, for confidentiality reasons. It is part of your ancestry.
While you don't have an adoption case, there are sources used that can be of value to you. One thing to educate yourself on, are methods of contact that are tactful, and yet gives the other person a chance to respond without fears. Adoptees have to use that skill < said with a hug> .
Another place is www.rootsweb.com with a guide to beginning research, and (under searches) is the social security death index. USE THE ADVANCED filter to narrow possible relatives, since you can find info in obits.

has two dead Asa Culvers, one a Jr, one with middle initial E.

If you use quotation marks in Google:
"Asa Culver"
you get several hundred hits, including an Asa Culver who "was arrested on Lewd and Lascivious charges . . ." with a 9-year old.

There is an Asa and Asa Jr in Texas in the 1930 census, but their middle initial is B.

If you have anything else - like his age to the nearest decade, or his wife's name - we might be able to help more. The only Asa E. (Elmer) Culver I could find is at the link below. There are two family trees listed so they are maintained by different people, even though it's obvious Asa E. Culver is the "unknown" Culver with Samantha Bryson.

Rootsweb is a good source, but living people won't be listed. It doesn't say that Asa had kids, but Jay Culver was born back in 1852 in Illinois. If you have any information linking you to Jay Culver from Illinois, you can contact the person who maintains the information through the email address at the top of the page for the family genealogy.
