Question:

Who has a Funny or strange Surname?

My surname is Montgomery-Davenport-Davidson-...

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Me.

Whenever people ask me for my surname and I answer Nobody, they just ask again.

Seriously, I'm not telling you my surname - half the fun on here is the anonymity !!! i did then i got married thats an ok name, mine used to be Harriman before i got married and i hated it I don't know him personally but I know "of" a autopsy technician who's last name is Deadman, no joke that's really his God given name...wonder if that's why he went into the profession he did, makes you wonder. Bitzegaio

That one is mine. Well part of it....The other part of it (my adopted last name) isn't so unusual...still not common though.

Siders is the last part.

It's German on the Bitzegaio part. The adopted part I don't care about....I don't claim my adopted dad anymore.....and plan on getting the name removed as soon as I have the extra money to do it.

Anyone who says **** about gettin' the Bitzegaio part removed....it isn't gonna happen. Simply put...I'm proud of that last name...my family on my mom's side...is wonderful and I love them too much to ever erase my heritage like that. I have many friends with strange surnames. Their names, in translation into English, are:

Kate Death
Marek Sick
Vladimir Smallbeer
Karel Testicle

They have suffered really a lot having such names. Really, I think it is terrible to have children and still give them your mad surname you hated so much when you were a child! I read on the paper a few weeks ago that a Mrs Drinkwater had 200 bottles of fine wine stolen from her cellar! I've got an unusual surname (which I won't be sharing!)... I've just got used to spelling it straight away after saying it.

I wouldn't say it was funny or strange, because it's mine!!! I do.
Gernot Strange One Soviet diplomat had a normal Russian surname, Fokin.
Being assigned to UK, he had to change it. I have an ancestor called Fanny Crapper and another family surname of Coffin has cropped up too. I knew someone who wanted to call their newborn twins William and Benjamin (Bill and Ben). My surname is normal thankfully. mine is Percival-Green
