Still cant find anything on this search?

Still can't find anything on this person. He died ONLY BETWEEN Nov. 1893 to Aug. 1894. Lived somewhere in the USA. Name: Hirsch / Hersch / Harry Siegel or Segall.
Was born in 1860 / Jewish from Lithuania Russia. Wife: Anna or Channe. Can anyone help us and find a guy CLOSE to this who ONLY died between these months. Would be from New York to Wisconsin. ( Northern states) My Dads grandpa. Maybe someone can help us and find him on a death list (somewhere) or a name close that died in this time period.My dads 86 and would love to know where his grandpa died. Maybe a few names that would be close even. Again, died from Nov. 1893 to Aug. 1894 in some northern state. Thanks so very much. My email is signmanj@yahoo.com to write me.

On www.kindredkonnections.com, I found a listing for Harry Hirsch, whose father was Isadore, and who was born in 1894 and died in 1951. It didn't say where he was born, however. The listing also had 6 generations that were viewable. Source(s):

Find the Discussion Groups and post your query to the main one, which is called "JewishGen Discussion Group". Your audience will be one that can be able to assist better than a generic group at Yahoo! Also, there are even more varieties in spellings than the ones that you have mentioned here.

If you go to the JewishGen "Family Finder", you can look for the surname spellings in a variety of ways and also, see others researching the surname. Check out the countries listed and email them. Who knows you may find a relative who has the answer that you are seeking. It happens all of the time on that site.

Although the names may appear rare to many reading your query, they are fairly common first names and a common surname, if you have eastern European Jewish relatives. Not quite Joe SMITH, but not that far removed, either.

If you give us some of the children's names, this could be of assistance in trying to connect the dots for you here. You can just add to or modify your question, I believe.

I, know what you are trying to do and I do wish you success on this. I am sure your dad would be thrilled to find this missing piece to his family history.

On my dad's 75th birthday I was able to acquire a birth record from Poland. He was very surprised to see the details, but it added a 3rd birthday for him. Who knows which of the 3 was actually accurate? As you must know by now, every answer seems to bring forth a new question. (grin)

If you plan to search the EIDB (Ellis Island Database), I would suggest that you use Dr. Steve Morse's site as there are more parameters that can be searched. Don't forget to try the Castle Garden Database, as well. This assumes, of course, that they arrived via NY.

BTW, I did try a variety of searches on ancestry.com for you, but nothing seemed to be a match. :( timezone too far away try ancestry or genealogy.com
