Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Try Gov-Certificates.co.uk. You can order your birth certificate from there. Give them as many details as you can - your full name and date of birth, your mother's name and age and a rough idea of place of birth even if it's something vague like 'southern england' and they will send you a copy. If you find out which town you were born in you can contact your local register office and get a copy of your birth certificate. It only costs about £3 here so it's not expensive. Your father, his address and his occupation will all be listed on the register copy. Please bear in mind though that it is possible that your father may not have been named on your birth certificate. You would struggle to trace him if that was the case but I sincerely hope he is listed so you can start searching for him. http://www.ancestry.co.uk/ www.genesreunited.co.uk

My mother lives on that site........ LOL
I have tried BOTH of the above.
Prepare for a load of useless e-mail.

You best bet is to look yourself
Try the census records and parish council records. http://www.ancestry.co.uk

There's no such website that can tell you who your dad is. Your only realistic course of action is to hire a solicitor who specialises in family matters. If your mum and dad were married then I can find your dad for you, if they weren't and you have your mums maiden name then it gets difficult to help. Have you got access to your birth certificate, he may be named on there. If you would like to email me or edit your question to include any information you have for your dad that would help.
Is the abbreviation for Wolverhampton ? I am in the UK and have ancestry.co.uk /.com global collection access, I can email you with any index insertion that I can find relating to you and your dad.
If you give me your name, year and month of birth and area you were born I can get you the information from the index.
You can email me through my profile, and as soon as I have the information I will email you back straight a way. The first thing to do is to get a copy of your birth certificate, if you don't have one already. You can look up details on ancestry.co.uk or look up the GRO index at your local county records office or possibly a large library. That should tell you where you were born, as well as your mother's name, maiden name (if different) occupation and address. Your father's name might or might not be on the certificate. If not it would be very hard to find out unless your mother or another friend or relation can give you a clue. Family Records Office Islington is the best place and it is worth a personal trip or employ a researcher.
Equipped with a date and place of birth you are quids in and can order up a copy of your birth certificate. This opens the door to birth mother and father and you can trace it back from there if there is a marriage and birth lineage in the UK.
Sorry it has to be done manually by you or somebody acting on your behalf.
