Position:Home>Genealogy> Anyone else Simons? AND Mexican??

Question:

Anyone else Simons? AND Mexican??

I was born in Mexico, both of my parents were also born in Mexico, so where the heck did i get this last name from?? i KNOW it's not Mexican... i never met anyone from my father's side of the family, his mother passed when he was an infant, and i just never met his father, or anyone else. at all. he grew up very poor and never went to school, and i know that he lies alot, so asking him doesn't really help me. i don't believe a word he says. does anyone know where i can get some info on this without spending too much $$ for it, and getting good results? i'd appreciate it! Thank you.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Here are some from the Mormons free site. Some Mexicans use the dual name standard, some don't. This isn't proof of anything except the fact people whose mother or father were named Simons were born, married or died in Mexico. Your lying father may have been christend Gonzalez and used the first name he could think of when he changed it. These people may have been English (French, Canadian, American . . .) tourists or expatriates.
