If you have access to Ancetry.com, run a search on Santa Claus and you will find him listed in the 1930 census in Saline Co, MO.
He is also listed in the Social Death Index - died 26Aug2003
New York City Deaths - died 1Nov1896
and in 1881 he was convicted on Liquor charges in Fort Worth TX.
