Can anyone tell me anything about 2 prominent surnames found in County Sligo, Kilfeather & Marren?

I've been told that 'Kilfeather' is anglicised for something simmilar sounding in Gaelic and 'Marren' is actually a native English name planted in Sligo with the Elizabethans. I could be wrong. Does anyone have any additional info on this?
