Question:

Seeking appleberg may have been GI in England, 1940s male that's all I know?

Married catherine minnie nee hawkins moved to united states in the 40s. They could have married after arriving in america and had a baby girl who they named Yvonne. It is believed that Mr applegate lived in wisconsin at that time and may have returned their. I am trying to find out when Yvonne was born and if she is still living and if so where. Her mother was my aunt who died in England in 1989 or thereabouts. Need information for family tree.
Any response would be greatly appreciated. Jack.

Check the LDS Family Search site, I get:
Catherine APPLEBERG
Birth Date: 29 May 1921
Death Date: 14 Jun 1989
Social Security Number: 387-40-7065
State or Territory Where Number Was Issued: Wisconsin

and there are a bunch of deceased men, but none from Wisconsin. Perhaps you can find an Obit for Catherine in Wisconson. Cindis list is good for that, or a Wisconson library. You could get the death certificate of Catherine - which may give town information, and other vital information. See the Vital records site.

This should keep you busy on Catherine. For Yvonne, I looked in white pages, nothing found. Perhaps you could get an Obit from Catherine that would list who survives her.

Good luck.
