You can search various online databases and also
search the Family History Library Catalog, that contains the world's largest resources of records available. You can order microfilms and microfiche to view for a nominal charge at a local family history center.

The Centres are staffed by volunteers who help you with any queries. Again there is no charge for use of Resources at the Centre.

Again on the LDS website you can find list and addresses of Family History Centres around the world.

There is lots of other information on the website including how to start research etc. You can also download a software programme on which to record your information again all free.
