When writing a cheque its important to write "only" at the end.

eg. One Thousand Five Hundred and Thirty Seven dollars Only
The other way you can write it is:
Fifteen Hundred and Thirty Seven dollars Only

If you are writing a cheque with cents at the end you write it like this
One Thousand, Five Hundred, Thirty Seven dollars and Fifteen cents only.
