I have two grave markers....where do I place them?

I have two grave markers....where do I place them?

We have a family plot with the family name at the head of the graves. We purchased a foot marker for my daddy and then the VA sent us another marker 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. Where do I place the VA marker? There is not room on the present foot stone to attach the VA marker to it. HELP!!!

we have 5 spots....at the head and in the center is the family name....my daddy's foot marker is at his feet and matches the markers at the feet of my grandparents. A spot has been left for my mother and then there is an extra one on the side. All the markers are gray granite and the VA one is bronze being mounted on 4" gray granite. My mother wants to put the VA marker at Daddy's head. do these details help you answer my questions better?
