Does anyone know the lineage or meaning behind the surname "Ansingh"?

It a Dutch name from my fathers side. My grand parrents were born in Indonesia. The dutch colonised the Indonesian islands a long, long, long time ago.

Does anyone know more about this surname? If not, can you tell me where I can find out. For free preferably.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: There are 260 hits for Ansingh in Genlias, the Dutch database of birth, death and marriages records. Most of them in or around the village Eelde, province Drenthe, where the Ansingh family seems to have its roots.
Currently only 17 Ansinghs are listed in the Dutch phone book (two of them in Eelde, three in the neighboring village Peize).
