Question:

If we have a son, can he be a third?

My husbands dad name was Phillip Sr. and then his brothers name was Phillip Jr. Now could our son be named Phillip III even though my husbands name is not Phillip?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: You don't have to add the third because your husband is not named Phillip. If you chose to use the name Phillip your son would simply be named after his uncle and grandfather. My husband is a Jr. and my sister in-law named her son after his grandfather but he is not a third. I am sure your husbands father and brother would be honored to have the baby named after them.
