Question:

Please, I need help locating my father, Stephen Gwynn Tucker, of GA.?

I'm 36 and have never met my father. I realized, after the sudden death of my mother, that I needed to get serious about locating him. I don't know where to begin, though.

Could anyone share some tips on successful methods of finding relatives? Any info, please?

Or...does anyone know a Stephen Gwynn Tucker, born in Georgia around 1946-47? He was a systems analyst in the US Air Force stationed at either Offutt AFB in Nebraska or in Lackland AFB in Texas in 1970. He may have had some connection to White Plains NY, or to IBM.
I'd really appreciate any help you could give me! Thanks!

Stephen could be anywhere in the world. But let's make the assumption he stayed in the United States.

Try the White pages for all the US. There are 300 found in the US, they do not let you use middle name, and the white pages use the first initial S. So, narrow the search by selecting NY, and GA assuming he probably favors one of those states. Possibly Nebraska or Texas also. On the front page of White Pages is the Dogpile web site ad, you can try them too.

You can ask at IBM if they employ your father too. You might not get to far with that one, but who knows.

It is likely that he is still alive, but in the off chance (sorry, has to be mentioned) that he may be deceased, you should conslult the Family Search site and SSA.

If you think he might be they type to look for a class reunion, you can try those type sites also. And, there are always Private Investigations, which are quite effective. I recommended the sites below, and some people wrote back to me saying they helped. There is a cost to some of this. But, some is free too.

Best of luck in your search!
