Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: No. Their main family tree derives from the Netherlands, although Franklin, on his mother's side, had ancestors on the Mayflower who were English.
During World War 2 the Nazi propaganda machine put out a claim that Roosevelt's family name was originally Rosenberg, a Jewish name, and the family changed it to cover this up. Sheer Nazi nonsense.
OTOH, if you go back far enough, who knows? I had a genetic test done, which had the expected results, except that I also have Mongol ancestry from about 900 years ago. I guess one of the Mongols caught a German wench during their invasions of Europe.
