What is the EASIEST way to get an Italian passport?

Question:

What is the EASIEST way to get an Italian passport?

I am American of Italian descent. As far as I know: both my parents were born in the US, both of their fathers were Americans (one Italian born and naturalized, the other may have been born in the US) at the times of their births.
So, I'm asking ... is there an easier route than the genetic one??

step 4: take his passport
step 5: dispose of body
step 6: repeat steps 1-5 until you have a satisfactory number of italian passports
