Antique bedspread Arden family name date 1857 names Jacob/Michael I have no leads. Please let me know anyidea

I HAVE A FAMILY HEIRLOOM OF SORTS. I do not believe this is from my family. I have not been able to locate Jacob or Michael Arden in Mount Vernon Oh circa 1857. If you know anything or have any insight as to where this bedspread may have come from or who the Arden's were I would so appreciate it.

If I were you I would go to the Ohio state genealogy site at http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohgenweb/... and do some searches on the site for their names. You can also post to their forum and see who answers. You'll need to know what county Mt. Vernon is in - you can usually find that out on the site. Pay attention that you are considering what county it was in 1857, because county lines change over time. . . At that site you'll find how to check census records from 1857, court records, etc. You can even find emails of people who live there who will help you look up info at the court house, for example, that is not available on the web...
