Question:

Where can i search the records of bad arolsen?

holocaust

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: The International Tracing Service's records in Bad Arolsen will be opened for general access soon, maybe in a year. But it will be years more before all of the records are indexed and made available on-line. Until then you must request a search through the Red Cross. You can contact a local chapter or, better, contact the Red Cross "Holocaust and War Victims Tracing Center". It can take many months before a search is completed, however.

A resource available to you right now is the excellent, comprehensive, and growing on-line database for the Holocaust maintained by Yad Vashem, in Israel. It contains close to three million records.

A database of Holocaust survivors is managed by Jewishgen, an affiliate of the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York.
