Question:

Best place to store really old manuscripts?

I have a box of handwritten manuscripts&letters from the 1800's and eariler they are starting to tear in half where should I be storing them?

They are all written in german, which I can't read, what should I do with them?

I live in a really hot climate.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Buy some acid free boxes and acid free tissue to wrap them in.
Keep them in the coolest part of your home. Or have them appraised and insured then professionally stored. Your local library might be a good source to ask about places to store your manuscripts. Any local museums might be willing to share with you their techniques for storage too.
