He is African-American, wears glasses and a beard, slings $12 words around as easy as pie, got a PhD at UC Berkeley in 1977. He works at the University of Texas, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Houston, so he probably drinks Lone Star Beer and eats BBQ on weekends, when he isn't advancing science. Many Texans do.
