Obituaries and death records free?

well im just wondering see my mom left when I was just a baby and i've been trying to find her when my grandpa died. They told me she died but how do I find out to finally close this mystery

may have them; it may not. If it does, you can use the death date to look up an obituary in old newspapers on microfilm at the county library.

If not, you'll probably have to pay the state/county/shire/province for a copy of the death certificate, then use the death date on it to look up the obit. You didn't say where you are, and some countries don't have states.
