Herritage...Where do these features come from?

What features do the Irish usually have?

I was told my family must have irish in us because of so many people with red hair and freckles.

What about pointed noses, sandy blonde hair, shortness, blue and green eyes?

I just always hear like those people mus have italian in them because of certain features .

Can someone please explain to me what groups are associated with what features?
