Question:

How can one find out where someone is buried?

Know the full name, date of death, and state.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Some US Gen Web sites have some transcriptions for some cemeteries. They are usually old ones. If you are looking for someone who died after 1950, and can't find them on-line, their death certificate will usually tell where they were sent. If it is a funeral home, they will know, in turn, which cemetery. You generally have to pay for copies of death certificates, and you get them from a state-level department of health or vital statistics.
