I just found out the origin of my surname?

It is Greek; does that mean that my ancestors or my great great whatevers were Greek? I do not know much about my father's side of the family.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Yes you are a Greek. It will be very interesting for you to find out more able your ancestors. However there may have been an adoption somewhere along the line. Also there may have been a name change due to the war many people dodged it by changing their names. If you can find no history of this then you may very well be a Greek.
