Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: The best way to trace your heritage is to speak to the older people in your family (Usually the oldest lady will think its her responsibility) unfortunately some times listening to them is about as exciting as watching grass grow and sometimes gets convoluted by reminiscences and stories so be sharp and take notes (coffee will help) if that is not an option there is a web site called Genealogy.com that can do it for you but be prepared to pay up for their hard work
