Question:

Rachael B from England, Can you tell me more about Matthew or Samuel Farmer?

Rachael B. Yes it was in the Curvier Township that Samuel lived. He is listed as S. B. Farmer. I saw the Mrs Farmer last night and did not know what to make of it. I found a tax list with the name Matthew Farmer on it and it said that Matthew died in or before 1836. It had some other Farmers on the list and one was Sameul B. and they all said they were heirs to Matthew Farmer.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Samuel Farmer details 1880 census:
Listed as living with a 'Judaith' who is 19. This doesn't fit in with the Judith on the previous census though. There is no value to his estate! He's identified as being a widow.
S B Farmer
Estimated birth year: abt 1800
Age in 1870: 70
Birthplace: Virginia
Home in 1870: Saint Charles, St Charles, Missouri
He is listed as being a farmer.

Going back the other way, there is one Matthew Farmer listed on the 1820 census :
1820 United States Federal Census
Name: Matthew Farmer
Township: Not Stated
County: Franklin
State: Virginia
It is surprising how few Matthew Farmers there were! So not too sure if that's the one, but it could be. Details are vague and there is not any more to be got from looking at the original document.

There is one World Family Tree:

Could be the very ones??
