Does anyone know anything about the Carter family of england...Nell and Diane Carter,Desmond Carter etc.?

nell and diane were stage actresses and studied (i think) at the royal academy of art...they had two brothers, desmond( a lyricist) and george carter(my great great grandfather).The carter family had an estate...does anyone know anything about the carter family The people mentioned were born in the second half of the nineteenth century.
