Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Most newspapers have on-line versions. Some leave obits up for 7 days, some for a year, some for longer. The first thing to try is Google [{town} Newspaper]. Add the state/province to the search if the town is "Springfield" or "Lakeside". Once you find the newspaper, poke around for "Obituaries" or "Archives".
