Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Your son is considered American, but don't let him forget his roots! That's the paradox of being American; it's beautiful because you can be American and be of any background, race, ethnicity or culture, and it doesn't matter if your ancestors were here 300 years ago or 30. But we do all tend to melt into a pop culture, and I love my country, but I believe that it is as great as it is because so many different cultures have brought things to the table. I am Sicilian, Navajo, Argentinean, and German. When it comes to checking the "race" box at the doctor's office or for a survey, I don't know what to check, unless they'd let me check "white/Hispanic/Native American" but you'll see that the "white" check box is "Caucasion/ Non-Hispanic" So basically, that wouldn't even work. I just check "other" because I can't check any one thing for it to be true. If you need to select a race on med forms, select "other" or nothing at all. Personally in this day in age, nobody has a right to divide and categorize, considering that so many of us are mixed. Y lo mas importante, siempre asegura que tu hijo guarda el orgullo!
