My father recently passed away i would like to find out more about his time in the Korean war?

my father recently passed away and he was in the korean war,when he came back he went to las vegas and witnessed atomic bomb testing. he was a marine and from syracuse n.y. does can any one help me find imformation on his time at either place,it would be greatly appreciated.
