I need to find information about "Mariners Cottage" in the village of Acomb, Northumberland.?

From approx 1851 to 1871, my ancestor, Joseph Mills, and his family resided in Mariners Cottage, Acomb, near Hexham in Northumberland. Joseph was born in 1779 and died in 1854. Early in his life, his occupation is reported as being a mariner, when he died his occupation was ,Landed proprietor. I need to know whether the current Mariners Cottage hotel in Acomb, is the same building that Joseph and his family lived in.
